April-10   Bourns Releases New Power Inductors Models SDE6603 and SRE6603

 

Bourns Inductive Components Product Line introduces new models SDE6603 and SRE6603. These two power inductor models are compact, with low DC resistance and high current carrying capability making them ideal to use in DC/DC converters for mobile electronic devices with prolonged battery life.

 

 

April-10   Bourns Adds MOV Products

 

Bourns is pleased to announce the release of two new MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor ) Protection series products for general applications. The Bourns MOV product portfolio offers 7 mm and 10 mm radial leaded varistor devices which protect against overvoltage transients such as lighting, power contact and power induction. The metal oxide varistors offer a choice of varistor voltages from 18V to 820V and Vrms voltages from 11V to 510V. The devices have high current handling, high energy absorption capability and fast response times to protect against transient faults up to rated limit.

 

 

April-10   Bourns Releases New Power Resistor Series

 

Bourns Fixed Resistors Product Line introduces model PWR163, it is a compact low profile power resistor rated to 25W continuous power in a compact DPAK style package measuring 8.13 mm * 12.29 mm. this model had a higher power rating and smaller form factor than JEDEC standard D2PAK power resistors. The PWR163 family is able to support lead free reflow soldering temperatures and is fully ROHS compliant. Its wide resistance ranges, pulse power handling and low inductance make it suitable for functions such as current limiting, current sensing, and capacitor discharge. It may be used in uninterruptible power supplies, welding machines, automation, lighting telecom power supplies , aerospace, automotive and railway equipment application.

 

 

Mar-10   Bourns Releases New High Current Power Inductors Models SRP4020 and SRP7030F

 

Bourns Inductive Components Products Line introduces new models SRP4020 and SRP7030F. These two high current power inductor models are designed with flat wire and a magnetic alloy compound molded construction. While the design makes them uniquely compact, they also feature low DC resistance, high current carrying capability and they are magnetically shielded. These inductors are ideally suited for use in DC/DC converters for mobile electronic devices and computers, as well as data storage and voltage regulator modules

 

 

Mar-10   Bourns Multifuse Product Line Announces Twin Pack Surface Mount 250V Polymer PTC Resettable Fuse.

 

Bourns has launched the MF-SD013/250, its first surface mount devices containing twin 250V polymer PTC resettable fuses. This new product builds on the very successful MF-SM013/250 devices by packaging two of these devices into the same housing, reducing customer circuit board area by more than 50%. The MF-SD013/250 provides tip and ring overcurrent protection and aids compliance with ITU-T K.20, K.21 and K.45 as well as Telcordia GR-1089 intra-building. The product is ROHS compliant and can be used s part of an overall circuit protection solution untilizing a combination of other Bourns circuit protection products such as TISP thyristors, TVS diodes and gas discharges tubes.

 

 

Feb-10   Bourns Add New Discrete TVS Diode Products

 

Bourns is pleased to announce the release of four new ESD/EFT/Surge Protection series products for general application. The portable communication, computing and video equipment markets are challenging the semiconductor industry to develop increasing smaller electronic components. Bourns offers Transient Voltage Suppressor diodes for surge and ESD protection applications, in compact chip package size formats.
